The book seems thrown together to take advantage of the marketing oppotunity of the eclipse. It poorly organized and totally lacks any organization. The pictures which seem to just grabbed from stock picture collections often have little to do with the text. If you hope to teach your child about eclipses, I would look elsewhere.
the pictures on the book would make one think this would be all about a SOLAR eclipse. There are very few pages that explain the solar eclipse. This book is mostly about lunar eclipses. I was disappointed.
Helpful read for young grandsons at the 2017 eclipse.
The book uses simple language, but fails to define the key words penumbra and umbra.A glossary of terms would have been helpful.
