I brought for my daughter to prepare her for the test. We dont have the scores yet but she did say it helped her understand the way the test would be worded. Shes never taken the test until now. I would say its for beginners
I own every single SAT / PSAT book from Amazon, and this book is by far the worst among all. The math portion of this book is way off of PSAT/NMQST exam.
I bought this book for my son to prepare the PSAT, In english part, There is a directions to help him to do this practices when you reading the Article, The detailed answer to let him to know the answer, beside of it, In the Math part, there is many Algebra 1 and 2 questions, I observed that there is lack of Geometry questions. it mean that Algebra is more important for the PSAT test.

Lots of useful information
This is a good practice book for the PSAT exam - it has more tests (3 drills + 1 test) than most other PSAT prep books - with a few major exceptions. The reading and writing sections (Sec. 1 and 2) passages are well tailored to the actual exam and provide practice over different writing styles and topics. Having tutored middle and high school math for about 5 years, I think the math sections (Sec. 3 and 4) are a bit more difficult and sometimes off-topic than what you would expect on the actual PSAT. That's not too bad, but the major downside of the math parts are that quite a few of the problems have wrong answers, either the answer choice given in the solutions are wrong, or, the correct answer is not one of the choices. The explanations of some of the math problems given in the solutions are also not clear and difficult to understand. The book does provide a Website where errors can be reported. Overall, a good practice book, but be prepared for its caveats.
