Nicely written from perspective of Darlie’s innocence. Cruz offers alternate scenarios and presents convincing arguments. If you’re interested in this case at all, you’ll find this book enlightening. Living in Dallas most of my life, I enjoyed the local references, but out-of-state readers may not. May those two little boys Rest In Peace.
Well written, however, sometimes confusing cast of characters, due to all the prosecutors and defense attorneys. It jumped around a little more than I thought it should, mainly because the author interviewed at different times and she used her timeline rather than the actual timeline. This information leads me to believe darlie is innocent but I have only read this one story. Will continue to stay up to date with the series that is being broadcast on TV.
I’ve been sucked in by this case and still am unsure of who the real culprit is. When I started reading this book, I was sure Darlie was guilty and wanted to hear an opposing view. This is well written and poses some great questions as to Darlie’s guilt.
Excellent! Not the first book that I have read on the Routier case. But the first book that I have read that I felt gave complete accurate information.
The flow of this book is non-existent, which is a shame since the subject matter is enthralling. It read more like the author's private journal than an examination of a death penalty case. Unfortunately, the nonsensical rambling was too much to overcome.
Intriguing. Raised interesting possibilities and questions.
Excellent book that examines the Darlie Routier case from a fresh perspective. The trial in this case was one of the most serious injustices I've ever read about. The people who side with the prosecutor and law enforcement in this case, always adjure you to read the "transcripts". This author sheds some light on those as well as other troubling aspects of this case.
Have not finished the book; however, so far it is excellent!
