I just spent several days online researching medicinal uses of CBD/hemp oil. I read articles, explored websites, perused product information from various hemp oil producers and queried folks on facebook. But the more I read, the more confused I became.I knew that I wanted to try hemp oil. I had heard about the many health benefits of CBD and was hopeful that it might provide some relief for my chronic Fibromyalgia and Arthritis pain. But I couldn't find information on dosage or explanations of the uses of the various forms (drops, capsules, creams, etc.). But thankfully, while reading conflicting reviews of different CBD products on Amazon, I came across this book. Hooray! I immediately downloaded it and was able to read it in a little over an hour.The book has just enough scientific and medical info to explain how and why CBD works as medicine; this gave me confidence that hemp oil is not just a fad, placebo or snake oil. Much of the research cited is from US government studies as well as universities (and there are plenty of citations and footnotes for those who want to go to the source). The author is clearly very well educated on the subject, and his experience in nursing and drug counseling are a real plus, adding to my confidence.It's less of a "how-to" and more of a "why not?", if that makes sense. The author was careful not to prescribe; he didn't tell me how much CBD I should take. But he did give examples of the range of dosages used by people and suggests that it's a good idea to go "low and slow"; start at a low dose and increase slowly, preferable under a doctor's supervision. I now feel informed and confident enough to go forward and try this new/ancient medicine!To the author: Bravo! You have shed light and reason on an important subject and provided a valuable service to a suffering public. You have my gratitude.(A humble suggestion: you might consider taking the "nursing" reference out of the title. While the book would clearly be useful for those in the nursing profession, it is equally important and accessible to the lay reader, and I fear you might lose many potential readers who assume that it's a book written primarily for nurses. I almost passed it by for that reason; I'm glad I didn't! Also, I hope that you will decide to offer the book in a print version as well; some folks don't have access to e-readers; and some of us just prefer having a hard to copy to underline and highlight and reference repeatedly; it's just easier in "book" form! I would definitely buy a hard copy, if you decide to offer one.) Thank you again for your fine work. Good luck to you!
This is the second copy I have ordered. I can't thing of a better means of showing what I think of it. The information contained withing is excellent and written in such a manner as to be informative, easy to digest and even entertaining!.
I am unable to take strong prescription pain medication and this works great to relieve my pain. Works very quickly for me.
My doctor recommended CBD oil for my severe chronic back pain, Fibromyalgia, and TMJ disorder. I also have PTSD & panic disorder. I was concerned because i used to smoke weed long ago but after some really bad stuff happened to me i developed panic disorder & PTSD. My main concern was i DO NOT want to feel the effects, since weed brings out my panic & PTSD. This is a good book for anyone who wants to learn the difference and specifics of CBD versus THC and how CBD properties help issues like pain, anxiety, seizures, and much more. I have a family member who has cancer, I'm definitely recommending CBD to him. A good book for "beginners" or for people like me who used to smoke weed back in the day & can't now due to PTSD, anxiety and other issues..CBD is a whole different ball game..I'm hoping the CBD oil works for me. *I did not get my CBD oil from amazon- the oil should be 3rd party tested so you know what you're getting is legit, for some reason I couldn't find any info from the oils sold here...so I'd recommend buying from a trusted site. (You can google "CBD oil" & it will lead you to links of the top 10 CBD oil websites,etc)..This was written in 2014, so I'm not sure all of the info is updated as far as drugs & the classes they're in. Other than that, it is very informative.
CBDRich Hemp Oil has been a blessing to me. I have Tremors, and I have pain problems with my spine. This product helps both of those things. I am really happy with the product. By keeping the oil chilled, the taste is not a problem.
