I was expecting much more information on application of UDL. Instead this is just patting itself on the back praising the wonderful merits of UDL and why it's needed. The reason I got this is because I already believe in UDL and wanted more application information! Of seven chapters I found only two of them to have any useful information in them and even that was very primary information.The book is clearly designed as an afterthought to the online edition of this (which is free by the way) and includes links to videos in the book that clearly can't be clicked in a book format.All-in-all this is a very disappointing book. It may be good to hand to a fellow educator that is not familiar with UDL or new teachers starting an education program.

Great book for both those new to Universal Design for Learning and those who have a working knowledge of it. I find this book is easy to read for both those new to the topic and those that have been around the block. I use it as the required text for the Universal Design for Learning class that I teach in the Masters of Education program and then supplement with additional resources from the CAST website. If you are involved in education or training in anyway this is a great book to add to your toolbox.
