I love reading this book to my kids. It's sweet to have them cuddle up to me (daddy), read in Spanish, review Spanish vocabulary, and look at the pictures. My children have loved this book since age 1, and even my 7 year old still loves to cuddle up and read it. A classic.
Purchased not the mommy and daddy versions of this book for twins birthday party this weekend. The last page of the daddy book is a misprint and from the "I love my mommy because..." book. Are they all misprinted? I would really like the correct one that says "daddy" at the end.
I used this book for complete a DIY Father's Day gift (idea from Pinterest), and replaced all of the pictures with photos of my husband and son that represented whatever was on the page (i.e. photo of dad lifting up kid for "He is big and strong"). It came out super cute.If you print out 6"X6" photos they fit perfectly, with a few stickers added on the edges to cover some of the larger pictures. You can also print out 4X6 and include a 6X6 background sheet as well.
I bought this book for my husband on behalf of our special needs daughter for father's day. He LOVED it. I saw him getting misty eyed because our daughter can't talk, walk, etc. She's like a baby & she can't buy anything but I wanted to get it for her and I signed her name in it, wrapped it up really pretty and sat it in her lap. He opened it carefully & his eyes got soooo big. Get this beautiful book. It's hardcover and very loving. Something like this will definitely open up the heart of the roughest man, especially if he's a father. I wish there were more saying in the book but the message overall is clear.
Great Book Series ( I love my mom because.. also) love the family dynamics, animal approach with small information on each page and the theme! We bought the I love my mom because at our local zoo and my daughter LOVES it, she enjoys the pictures the most so we had to buy this one! Great book to add to any animal lives by families children’s collection!
Using this to introduce our daughter to Spanish since one set of grandparents only speak Spanish. Very cute and simple to read. Great pictures too! My daughter loves it and dad loves reading them to her. Also helps me out with both English and Spanish words since I don't speak Spanish.
This book is truly great! I also have the "I Love My Mommy Because..." book to go with it, but there's plenty of Mommy books out there. Yes, I truly value the love my kids have for me, but I'm thankful they have a father that loves them just as much as I do. This book is a great representation of the love that my kids have for their Daddy and all he does for them. It's a nice read for my husband to them, and my kids love it when he reads them books. It's a nice gift, and it's one of my kids' favorite books.
we have both the mom and dad versions of this book. they are different. i was afraid the story would be the same in both but one says mom and one says dad. but there are different reasons to love mom and dad in each book. it is a board book so great for my toddler. we love that it has both languages so either my husband or i could read it to our son without having to buy 2 books as we do with so many others.we also like all the animals in the books. it tells you what each animal is called its baby version, e.g. cub. so you can use the book in a variety of ways with your child, e.g. read it, teach the animals or ask him/her to point animals out to you.
Bought this story and I Love My Mommy Because... for a baby shower gift for a couple who will be raising their baby bilingual. The story is beautiful using animals in nature to describe all the things moms and dads do for their children. Having both languages will allow both parents to read to their new baby.
