I teach art in elementary schools, after school and at camp. Last summer I started using this book at the summer Art Camp that I teach at for the Daily Draw at the start of each day. The students loved it and could not get enough. Recently I started incorporating the Daily Draw into the after school art classes I teach and the response has been great there too. The students especially love that everything is drawn "cute" in this book and so we draw cute rocket ships, cute tables, cute puffer fish, cute trucks, cute hot air balloons, etc. Boys and Girls alike go ga ga over this book! I definitely recommend!
I bought this for my daughter and she's drawing "kawaii" things all the time now. She's 11 and really getting into manga and all things Japanese. This was a perfect complement to her more serious manga how-to books.

I bought this book for my granddaughter for her birthday. She hasn't seen it yet, but I think she'll enjoy it. There are many different pictures and drawings to choose from with instructions on how to draw them. They seem to be simple enough for young artists to draw and learn basic techniques.
I bought this book to give as an eighth birthday present to a little girl who particularly loves drawing and painting. It was very well received: In fact, she enjoyed it so much that three months later she’s still using it every day.I intend to purchase other books by this author to give to the same child at Christmas. Recommend!
